"I am interested physicalizing the mental gymnastics I and many women perform to negotiate the different spaces we inhabit. My movement impetus infuses observed everyday gesture with contemporary modern techniques intermingled with rhythmic whimsy and unpredictable musicality. I use a wry, humorous narratives as a means of unlocking vulnerability to create a shared kinesthetic empathy with the performers and the audience. My recent work, want more, want more, want more… explored the distinctly humorously devastating ways breastfeeding mothers foreground and background their motherhood, by dueting with my breast pump to the sounds of Helen Reddy. I value specificity within momentum while constructing and interrupting flow. I aim to create gratifying pieces for dancers and audience members alike and I embrace the elation and unique language of dance for the sake of dance.

I am a dancer and a dance advocate who seeks to further the art of concert dance in our culture by making it more accessible to new audiences through immersive modes of performance. Dance has the ability to transcend the limitations of language and unlock new modes of knowing that can find resonance and connection between audience and artist."
